Orange Item of the Week

The gods smiled upon us by making the new in color orange.  Get a look at these Pantone Universe Tangerine series lip glosses.  How do they look on?   Well it is debatable.  Orange great on clothes, not great on make up. 

What does one wear from Memorial Day?

Serving up hot dog realness.

Cookouts, Barbeques, Pool Parties... how does one look festive yet appropriate for the occasion?  My mom came to the rescue with a hot dog hat of my very own.  She got it at a Rock Cats game.  SO glad I missed it.  Anyway, I am GIVING FACE here.  I have no idea why the hell I am glowing.  Seriously, I am not that pale.  My mom took the picture and was not thrilled to do it.

Tresures from Target

Ahh. my Cynthia Vincent shoes.  I bought them about two years ago from Target.  Still fabulous, although I still can not walk in four inch heels.  Check out my one cankle.  It is a left over from a broken ankle about ten years ago (shopping related injury.)  It is on the left.  My nail color is called Wait in Lime.  Am obsessed, and it totally goes with orange!

Kitchen Part Trois

God, I really hope the kitchen is done soon.  First off I can only count so high in french, and secondly, I am getting sick of living sans oven.  Every day the refrigerator is making a louder thumping noise, and all of the contents of the upper cabinets are scattered throughout the dining and living rooms.  Jesus, Mary and Oprah, it is a mess in here, and I have no idea when it will be done.  Check it out for yourself.  And then send food. 

Orange Item of the Week

This week we pay tribute to Stan with a Cynthia Rowley dress that I bought over the weekend.  For reasons unknown it photographs weird and makes my chest look crazy huge, and frankly droopy.  Cuter in person, I swear (both the dress and my boobs in it.)  Also in Cornelius fashion, my mother took these pictures naked.  Rachel Zoe does not have to deal with this...  I tried to look normal, but really I was ignoring my naked mother. 

Betty Rosbottom

We went to a book signing for Betty Rosbottom's new book, Brunches.  She was crazy friendly and my mom explained her love for her.  Betty handled the craziness well.  Then I made the discovery of the century, there is a PINKBERRY at the mall!  Notice how cute my mom looks in her sweater :)

Kitchen Part Deux

So, the kitchen is in shambles.  We said we wanted modern, our contractor has translated that into Post Apocolyptic.  It could be a new cooking show, Mad Max Kitchen: two chefs enter only one leaves.  The electrician is coming tomorrow, other than that it all looks the same.  We have eaten out six nights a week.  So sick of eating out...

This week's orange item hails all the way from China, courtesy of Allyson who was in Shanghi.  We have a lovely Tory Burch knock off :)  Orange of course.  The perfect color of the year.  I am excited to see what else Wolfie will come up with during her year abroad.

So here is out 80's kitchen.  We are renovating in two parts, so my parents will not have to take out loans.  As you look at the following images, feel free to hum Duran Duran's Rio.  I do every time I walk in.  And as God as my witness, I will not let my mother crap up the front of the next refrigerator.

Orange item of the week

So, after losing my digital camera, then the cord, and then, well, I am not the most organized of people, I have am finally ready to update my blog :)  The bad news? My kitty Stanley's kidneys are slowly shutting down.  I am not sure how much more time I have with him, but he is responding well to medicine and his special food.  In honor of the man I love most, I am starting a new feature called, Orange item of the week.  This week, it is a no brainer, Stanley Zbornak Cornelius, the guy who started my love of all things orange.  Here he is looking handsome :)
