Today I came across TWO new groups of friends: wild turkeys. They live in my area, in fact East Granby was once called Turkey Hills. One group was camera shy, and the other posed well for me. I have never seen a flock as big as the second one. There are five turkeys in the second picture and two in the first.

Pillowtalk
Now that Stan and I are home, we have to help my mom in her sweatshop, I mean work shop. We have been churning out bags, pillowcases and jammie pants for people. I iron and turn things out, my mom sews and Stanley keeps things from blowing away. You might think I look a little crazy, but it was the middle of the night on the assembly line. Stan looks great as always. Please note the large bottle of my mom's medicine in the Stan picture. Yup, she takes her pain meds for her knee and then makes Stan and me work for hours.

The Whippie-dip
Ah, Connecticut's answer to tasti, Dairy Cream, or as my family calls it, the Whippie-dip! I can only guess that my mom is not thrilled with some of the pictures I have posted about her, and thus has taken several of my tushie. I can not blame her. Also apparently, when I order I jam my head way into the window. I guess I do not care about personal space when it comes to ice cream.
Driving School
Here I am for my first day of driving school. It was four hours long, and frankly four hours of my life I can not get back. Sadly, I have another four hours. Then it is the written test and the road test. My instructor seemed to be drunk with quotes like "New Jersey drivers are the worst!" or "Drink with you parents." "Drinking makes your friends do stupid things they can not remember the next day. Does any one here know someone like that?" I raised my hand and almost told him about the stoop. Now that I am in my 30's they can not scare me about underaged drinking any more.

Not rain, nor sleet, nor boredom.....
Play It Again Sam....
Where Everyone knows my mother's name......
Today I helped my mother and her friend Mrs. Brown decorate her daughter's restaurant. Technically it is called The Cracker Barrel, but we call it the Crack. My oldest niece wanted to know why it was not in the shape of a huge butt. I think she has a good point. My mom loves it here and here are a few shots of her at the bar enjoying something pink.
